As a member of the Bedinger lab, I work on a variety of different projects. I am primarily a microscopist, but I also assist with various aspects of image acquisition, processing, and analysis. My work includes FISH localization of the pFCM100 insert in transgenic tomato plants, photomicrography of various plant cells and tissues (pistils, pollen, seeds), and cytogenetic studies of members of the tomato clade. The figure shown here is of a tomato embryo, which is part of the work I am doing on a project looking at reproductive barriers between sympatric species of tomato.
